
Big Trees Village is a community at about the 5,000 foot elevation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is just East of Calaveras Big Trees State Park in Calaveras County.
This subdivision of around 2,000 units spans five miles along Highway 4 from Dorrington to Camp Connell and is a short drive from the Sourgrass recreation area.
It boasts the Big Trees Village recreation center, complete with two pools, picnic areas, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball diamond, shuffle board and more. The center offers summertime activity programs for adults and children.
Membership to the recreation center and the property owners association is optional.

The Stanislaus River, one of the Sierras many draws, is approximately four miles from the edge of Big Trees Village. Many people enjoy this location for its forest land and close proximity to Bear Valley ski resort.
